Advanced Placement United States History: A college-level survey course which may be taken in lieu of United States History. Emphasizes written expression, evaluation of outside readings, and independent study. Students will take the national Advanced Placement examination in the spring; those scoring high enough may receive college credit, advanced placement, or the right to waive a required history course in college.
